TAOS LIFESTYLE is more than a retail presence. It is a reflection of a set of values and a commitment to embrace those values in every aspect of our business. 

It can be said that a “place” can call to a person. I believe that Taos was my calling. After a decade of working for the nation’s largest mattress chain on the West Coast, I came to Taos, NM in 2004 and opened Sleep Sanctuary. With that I brought everything I had learned about the business. Little did I know that this small mountain community would envelop me in ways that I could never have imagined.

As my relationship with Taos grew through not just my business, but through personal relationships, philanthropy, and a love of nature, I clearly saw the similarity between the inhabitants and the environment.

So, in late 2021, TAOS LIFESTYLE was born. We moved into a new 24,000 square foot location, the combination of two previously well-loved destinations… a local restaurant and bowling alley. Our intention is to honor them as we continue to build out our new presence. And with that, an expanded product-offering that includes not just mattresses and bedding, but furniture, apparel, and provisions. Local food trucks adorn our outside parking lot, and our music venue, featuring nationally known artists such as Robert Mirabal, Max Gomez, and Jimmy Stadler are a regular event. From the moment you enter our store you experience the Taos vibe.

We are a true destination location.

Our success and growth are due to our commitment to our valuable customers and unique community. My goal is to capture that essence through everything we do and project it to the world!
